Mark Campito is the CEO and founder of Marktech Optoelectronics, located in Latham, New York. Mark has more than 25 years experience in marketing, sales, and engineering. Prior to Marktech, his positions have included Vice President in Marketing and Sales for International Devices, in California; International Sales Manager for Xciton Corporation, of New York; and Marketing Engineer for National Semiconductor’s Optoelectronic Division. He has visited Japan in excess of 50 times and has made numerous trips to China, Taiwan, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore. While at Xciton, he spent three years traveling through Europe,
meeting with customers and setting up a distribution network. He has lived in Harlow-Essex, England; Toronto, Canada and Newport Beach, California.
Mark served as a Director of the Albany-Colonie Chamber of Commerce from 1998-2001. He is currently on the Schenectady Museum Board of Trustees and Siena College Board of Associate Trustees. He was an advisor to the Wu-han Economic Board of China and was the 1998 recipient of the Chamber’s Entrepreneurial Excellence Award. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he is a graduate of the U.S. Navy’s Electronic School and has a B.A. degree from Siena College (class of 1977).
